HEY! I’M LAN.
I’ve always been creative, but makeup was the first medium that really clicked. There are no rules, but there is theory, and perfecting that balance has inspired me for more than a decade.
Over the last 12+ years, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients, earned industry recognition, and built a business that’s grown almost completely through referrals. Which is fortunate, because marketing myself has never been my favourite part of the job. I’ve spent thousands of hours working with faces of every age, skin tone, and style out there. Experience has made me a versatile artist, but more importantly, it’s taught me how to listen. My goal isn’t to tell someone what they should want. It’s to understand what matters to them, and collaborate on how to get there.
I’ve dedicated many years to makeup artistry, and slightly less time pretending to be mysterious about it. On a wedding morning, you’ll usually find me over-caffeinated, keeping mom calm, sourcing a safety pin, and answering questions I technically wasn’t hired to answer.
Makeup is deeply personal. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to beauty and thankfully, that’s what keeps my work interesting. Every face is different, and every client comes to the chair with a unique vision. My role is part artist, part interpreter: understanding what you’re hoping for, making recommendations, and bringing it to life. I’ll always have opinions, but I’m not precious about them.
